FIELD SURVEY REPORT on Thin Overlay Systems

POLY-CARB conducted a field survey on polymer-based thin

overlays used by various state departments of transportation.

In this process, field sites were visited, field and lab tests ere performed,

and extensive interviews with key state officials were conducted. 

Overlays based on a polymer systems, such as polyester and MMA,

are not included in this report due to their uncertain toxicity and performance.
