MARK-76.2 REPLACES SHEET MEMBRANE
Myers Road Bridge
Completed MARK 76.2 application prior to asphalt installation.

On October 16, 2006, POLY-CARB, Inc. installed a spray-applied membrane system in Fayette County, Ohio as a superior alternative to Type II or Type III waterproofing.

The entire galvanized deck was waterproofed in approximately 30 minutes. The following day, Fayette County had the deck overlayed with asphalt and subsequently opened for traffic. Among other benefits like its fast-setting properties, this system allows for a longer construction season because of low temperature and moisture insensitive properties.

Larry Dean from the Fayette County engineering office said, "What I like is that you can see that there's 100% coverage and that it also stands up to the tracks of the asphalt paver. Myers Road is the second bridge we've utilized this spray applied system on. We've had great results."
