The Skyline Towers luxury apartments are some of the busiest in the Skyline district. In order to accommodate the rigorous daily traffic from its residents, their parking garage requires a very durable waterproofing solution that can protect and preserve the infrastructure and its quality.
The owner originally tried a standard quality waterproofing option. However, it was not able to adjust to the heavy traffic and stress caused by the thermo cycles. As a result, it cracked and peeled off after only a couple of years.
When assessing the situation, the engineer involved recommended the use of MARK 170.2 FLEXODECK II from POLY-CARB of Dow Epoxy Systems, based on his first-hand experience with its proven performance. The parking garage's owner agreed to go with FLEXODECK II, especially after finding that the price was insignificant compared to its long-lasting durability.
